The Main toolbar The main toolbar provides one click instant access to the major integrated editors you will use while developing your applications. Everything you need is easily accessible. Scenes can be played, paused and stopped from the main toolbar and animation parameters & scene properties can be easily edited while a scene is running or paused. Toolbar structure In addition to the Main toolbar, on start-up Creator will display four important toolbars for everyday workflow, these are 2D Objects, 3D Objects, Advanced Objects and Edit toolbars. With the Exception of the Main toolbar all other Creator toolbars have the following structure: 2D Objects
This toolbar provides access to 2D Objects used when creating user interfaces including 2D Screen blits for displaying images, 2D vectorized text, buttons, edit boxes, check boxes, radio buttons, sliders, progress bars and spinners. The most commonly used 2D user interface items are displayed and the other tools are available through the additional tools pull-down menu. As with all Creator toolbars, these can be customized to meet your own needs. When you select an item from the 2D objects tool bar a 2D reference grid appears and can be used to align and arrange the positioning of 2D UI objects. 3D Objects
The 3D Objects toolbar provides access to Creator modeling primitives that are used to create scene content, along with imported models, in 3D space. Creator has an extensive primitive collection with over 30 modeling primitives including: - Arc
- Circle
- Helix
- Line
- Point
- Polygon
- Rectangle
- Disk
- Donut
- Face
| - Plane
- Star
- Box
- Capsule
- Cone

All Creator modeling primitives are parametric and their properties can be animated dynamically using inbuilt behavior animations or through the scripting API. In addition to animations, all parametric objects can be extended and modified using the inbuilt alteration modifiers. Advanced Objects The Advanced Objects toolbar provides access to creation of lights, in-scene cameras, object groups, id objects, bones, booleans, mirror objects and a range of dynamical system objects including particle systems, gravity and current objects. The Edit toolbar The Edit Modes toolbar enables you to switch between editing and selection modes including transforms and sub-object modes in the scene editor. Objects can be transformed (moved, rotated, scaled) and the location of an object's pivot point (point at which the object rotates) can be adjusted. Some of the tools available through the additional tools pull down menu enable the selection of vertices, faces, points etc during modeling and mesh modification. Customization All toolbars and menus can be customized to meet your own personal work flow. New tool bars can be created and buttons added for any existing Creator toolbar including the Main Toolbar. |
